From Headquarters at Debra Avenue

So, after not writing a blog in a long time, I had assumed that perhaps we had lost some of you readers. And then to my surprise, 22 comments and counting on that last blog. You were here all along! I should have never doubted you. Hopefully someday soon it'll be 500 times that.

Also, I read that we have a total of 3 UK fans that read our blog. A small number perhaps, but from what I know of them...they're fierce and as long as they keep telling people, and they keep telling people to tell people, it becomes exponential. That's the whole idea.

For news....

For everyone 21+ in LA, come to spaceland this Wednesday to see the Morning Benders. They're bass player couldn't make the trip so I get to sub in. I'm sure most of you have heard them already, but their music is wonderful.

Also, for anyone who hasn't heard or doesn't own the song we did for the Spiderman 3 soundtrack, it's available for download here....

http://mainstreamisntsobad.blogspot.com/2007/05/web-slinging-songs.html

Note: Anyone who makes that download, has to make a promise to his/herself that they will eventually buy it, or find some sort of way to contribute to Simon Dawes financially as payment.

I couldn't think up too much else for news other than we are thoroughly enjoying our new home and getting ready for the tour with incubus which is sneaking up on us, it seems. Do you all have your tickets already?

Finally, again, everyone in LA, keep June 17th open. We're gonna be playing at Little Radio. It's a during the day kind of thing with a water slide. It's clearly going to be a lot of fun. When I get more info, I promise to post it. Talk to you soon.

iTunes accidentally sold it me twice.

Technically, you owe ME money.

I will accept one of these cakes that seem to be going around.

Everyone loves cake!
Sorted cake it is.

Tell you what when you play a show in England I'll bring cake and you can share it with UK Amy and UK Steph

The highlight of my summer will be seeing you guys on August 13th! Don't you just love it when your whole purpose of going to a concert is to see the opening act? That tends to happen to me. And I will definitely be buying any merch that you're selling, preferably a tshirt with Wylie's face on it. s.

Ok I love how everyone is now under the illusion i can cook good cake...I can't cook so the cake will be be baked by a great British bakery (who apparently don't make giraffe cakes- whats that about!!?!?!)

Make it a Greggs apple danish. They look like they're made of wood and rubber, but they taste amazing.

I seem to have forgotton what this blog is for...cake? or was is some fantastical band? I'l go for cake!

amy said...

There'll be no frosting on a British cake. It'll be iced!

Incidentally, I'm not a big fan of icing. I'll just pick it off and give it to someone else.

First come, first served, and all that.

icing then.

I'l get them to ice half and doodle on the other with edible bits.

this is kinda SD related steph...Simon Dawes likes cake.

Haha I'm liking your way of thinking ;)

How about about buttercream what are peopels views on that?

amy said...

Big fan of buttercream. I would accept, for example, a butterfly cake.

Just putting that out there as a suggestion.

see i'm a chocolate fudge cake or brownies kind of gal...so all this talk of butterflies and bettercream is like woah.

Maybe i could stick picture of simon dawes on cocktail sticks and stick them into the cake to make the cake SD related.

Please note I will NOT do that.
